Fraser Coast, Qld
This is where we plan to retire.
The Fraser Coast is located about 300 km (3 1/2 hours driving) north of Brisbane, opposite Fraser Island. The major town is Hervey Bay. Hervey Bay is well known for whale watching, and nearby Fraser Island.
Hervey Bay is in the electorate of Wide Bay, which is named after the district which takes its name from the bay sighted by Captain Cook on 18 May 1770.
