Central Coast, NSW
This is where we currently live. The Central Coast, NSW, lies between Sydney and Newcastle.
It features beautiful beaches and great waterways, ideal for boating.
There are several National Parks, including Brisbane Water National Park, Bouddi NP, Yengo NP, Dharug NP, Munmorah State Conservation Area.
Not far away are the State Forests of the Watagan Mountains where you will find camping grounds, picnic areas, lookouts and walking trails.
A list of picnic areas can be found at the Central Coast Australia Website. This includes Somersby Falls, Girrakoon and Mangrove Creek Dam
The Central coast is home to the Australian Reptile Park with a good display of reptiles, snakes and spiders. The park was established in 1948 by the late Eric Worrell, Australia's first naturalist.
Whale watching is also becoming popular, as they whales migrate up and down the coast. For other attractions, go to Central Coast Tourism.
